The Heron Residency is a resort-style service apartment located in Puchong. It was launched in July 2005, and consists of 290 suites. It was completed 8 months ahead of schedule. The condo is developed by Darul Dinasti. It consists of two blocks with 290 units. However, only the 1st tower was available for sale.

Facilities at The Heron Residency include a clubhouse, gymnasium, sports facilities, business centre, putting green, swimming pool, gated card access security, audio/video studio, cafeteria, laundrette, and a night garden.

Location-wise, the main selling point is that The Heron Residency is close to several educational campuses. These are the Malaysian Multimedia University (MMU), Lim Kok Wing, and Universiti Tenaga Nasional (Uniten) which are all located within the Cyberjaya/Kajang area. Other than this, there are other local schools and colleges nearby. In terms of shopping, it is close to the main shopping area in Puchong where Giant, Tesco, and IOI Mall is. It is also close to the ELITE, Kesas, and LDP highways. The Heron Residency is also close-by Taman Puchong Perdana ,  Taman Puchong Prima , and Taman Puchong Tekali.

Analysis

Have you ever wondered whether a property brochure for a property that hasn’t been developed yet will actually look like the real thing? Unfortunately, this is the case for The Heron Residency, as the artist’s impression drew it as a beautiful serviced apartment but the complex turned out badly.

Although The Heron Residency was originally marketed as a resort-style development with 5 star facilities, unfortunately it is not in reality. For example, the area is not actually landscaped well. Another example is that in front of these apartments are Malay food stalls selling coconuts, nasi lemak, pisang goreng, and more. Well, perhaps this is good for those who do not feel like cooking. However, these are here because the location is in Kampung Baru Puchong.

Other than this, residents have complained about the smell coming from the Air Itam landfill, that the building management is terrible at managing, and much more. All in all, The Heron Residency is definitely a rotten egg – avoid it if you can. The Heron Residency is also considered one of the best luxury condos in Puchong .
