Analysis

In its early days, Taman Putra Perdana was much to be desired for. The early tenants have expressed woes and regrets over their purchase. The low price attracted them to the development because they were under the impression the price was due to its fairly new location. They did not know the quality of workmanship comes with the price too.

The residents of Taman Putra Perdana had to deal with flood of when the rain overflowed the lake next to their neighborhood, low quality of workmanship of their homes that include wall cracks, pipe leaks and uneven land, abandoned highway and apartment developments, drug addicts that loiter in the abandoned developments, roads collapsing that prevented the residents from going to work and steep roads that could result in them falling into the ravine. A lot of owners have to resort to auctioning their homes.

However, things have been looking better for the residents of Taman Putra Perdana as of late, since the takeover by the Selangor state in most of the developments in the enclave. La Cottage have finally completed and Lingkaran Putrajaya can finally be of use. The setbacks had also prompted the Malay majority residents to build a stronger sense of community and they often participate in activities together. The security guards in front of each cluster area is one of the results of their bonding.

The clover leaf interchange has truly added more value to the homes in Taman Putra Perdana. The Lingkaran Putrajaya shortens the journey to Cyberjaya to 20 minutes. Therefore, property investors may want to look into this area as Cyberjaya has many colleges and universities with students in need of accommodation. Moreover, the government civil servants working in Putrajaya can afford to buy their own properties with the still lucrative price tag.

The Taman Perdana Putra it is now is no longer once it has been before. The only horror story that makes the news nowadays was the robbery and murder case of a computer engineer in his home in December 2012. But other than that, this neighborhood seems to a good piece of property to own.
