Kirana Residence is a low density condominium located within the exclusivity of KLCC enclave. It stands next to Ascott Kuala Lumpur, right opposite of Mandarin Oriental Hotel. It comprises of a block condominium consists of only 66 units. It was launched back then few months before the 1997 Asian economic crisis.
Kirana Residence is linked to Ascott Kuala Lumpur by a sky bridge that lets the former’s residents share the latter’s facilities; including housekeeping and launderette. Next, get yourself a breakfast at plenty of cafes at Suria KLCC and Avenue K, or a number of Indian cuisine restaurants along Jalan Ampang. Depending on your office distance, you can walk to your office, or use either Monorail or LRT located at Jalan Sultan Ismail and KLCC respectively.
After office hours, head down to one of plenty of exclusive shopping malls nearby. There is Suria KLCC, Pavilion KL, Sg Wang Plaza, Lot 10, KL Plaza and Starhill; all located near to each other. Later at the evening, you can hang out with friends and colleagues at several clubs, pubs and bars along Jalan P Ramlee and surrounding area. During weekends, pick up your golf clubs and head to Royal Selangor Golf Club which only located few kilometres away.

It was incorporated in 1963 and provides services in capital markets and securities, asset management, factoring, insurance, and property investment. Kirana Residence is strategically located along Jalan Pinang, right besides Marc Service Residence and rows of towers comprising of hotels, offices and serviced apartments. Among of its immediate building neighbors are Menara Prestige, One KL, Wisma UOA I, and Etiqa Twins.

Analysis
Kirana Residence is one of the older condominiums residing in the KLCC enclave, like Desa Kudalari and Sri Kia Peng. Even though it is quite an old condominium compared to numerous up-to-date condominiums developed within the enclave, it still stands out due to its close proximity to the Petronas Twin Towers. Not only that, each unit comes with a large and long balcony that lets its residents enjoy an unhindered view of the twin towers.
The location of Kirana Residence is very strategic, only a few meters away from prime commercial buildings and amenities. Thus, the surrounding roads are congested almost all the time, as motorists utilize the roads to commute to work everyday; for leisure at prime shopping malls located within the “Golden Triangle”; and also for partying at the clubs.
Residents of Kirana Residence previously suffered some noise from the rows of clubs along Jalan P Ramlee. Even though those clubs are located quite a distance away, noise from the area could still be heard within the premises at times. The management of Kirana Residence together with neighbouring Marc Residence have lodged complaints to DBKL as of 2012 and the noise complaints since then have reduced to nil as of 2013.
